I’m pleased to announce Infusionsoft has secured $54 million in growth capital financing from Goldman Sachs. This is super-exciting news for our customers, partners and employees. We’ll put this investment to good use, fueling our product development, accelerating marketing and sales, and growing our partner and education programs in the U.S. and internationally. This ultimately means we will reach more small businesses around the globe and enable them to succeed with our all-in-one sales and marketing software, services and education.

Helping True Small Businesses

We love small businesses. And when I say small, I mean true small businesses, the kind with fewer than 25 employees. So often you see companies treating small businesses all the same. Life is different when you have 100 employees versus 10. We get that. We have created a company built around the needs of the true small business and we’re proud of this focus.

Goldman Sachs shares our belief that successful small businesses are the engine behind the economy. But, the sad truth is that running a small business is hard. More often than not small business success comes at a price. Entrepreneurs end up giving up their lives to make the business work. Really hopeful also that it means you’ll improve Salesforce’s CRM, which is the main thing standing in the way of that.

I hope the added pressure to continually meet growth stats for your VC partners doesn’t mean you won’t be allocating budget to improving the core offerings where they are lacking (eg. ecommerce; API; simple split-testing offered by your competitors but absent from IFS).

      We’d love to share, but at this time we can’t disclose these financials. However, we posted $39M in revenue for 2012 and previously $26M for 2011. I think you’ll agree that those are some pretty solid numbers. Small businesses need an all-in-one sales and marketing solution and we are thrilled to provide it. :-)

    Congratulations Clate and team. This is great news for IS. However, when such big announcements come, there are lot of things that would have happened in the background. Mostly funding being a route to growth and to IPO in some time.

    However, this could also lead to take-overs, M&A or buy-outs. When these happen, not just the name but also the level of service provided and the pricing all goes for a toss.

    The “new owners” could try to “merge” this with their “existing products” and make a mess… This has happened in the marketing automation space with buy-outs by Oracle and IBM, and there are no traces of the products bought, which had served the small businesses.

    These are genuine concerns.

    It’s not use putting me through to my Account Manager – he is useless. I have had nothing but problems so I am just about to initial a chargeback on my credit card because of the problems I have had with Infusionsoft.

    I was more than reasonable but Christian Endsley and the people surrounding him could not provide the software that wasnt buggy. WE have heaps of evidence of this.

    I didnt get what I paid for, god knows how many leads I lost and how many didnt receive what they were due. I had to pay for hours of consulting to fix things up because your team could not be bothered and then his sole response is we don’t do refunds.

    So if that is the case then I will continue to post negative remarks so that either you guys lose more than then business you have cost me.

    In fact I am thinking about hiring a programming in India that will just submit my story any chance I get. I am quite mad and peaved off as you may tell.

    Infusionsoft cost my business time, money, lost opportuntiies and all Christian Endsley could do was say ‘No refunds’ which in Aussie speak is the same as saying ‘F off we have your money.”

    Not really a good thing for a business that says it is to help small business.
